Not on viewCamille Corot (1796–1875), like the much younger Bracquemond, strongly advocated the revival of etching as an original print medium in the latter half of the nineteenth century. Corot was an artist Bracquemond particularly admired: he etched many original landscapes in the spirit of the master, and also made reproductive prints after Corot’s own paintings that are remarkable for their stylistic fidelity.
