On viewThis little brass pair depicts the artist and his wife in a close embrace. The arm is articulated so that when lowered it appears as Cliff’s arm and when fully raised as Joanna’s leg, creating a more intimate pose. Westermann and his wife had both been professional acrobats for brief periods before they met, and this little figure also cleverly reflects that. Inscribed on the back is the word "LOVE" along with an image of an angel. The female figure is marked ‘J’ and there is an identifying anchor on the man‘s bicep.
