Description

John Chamberlain’s offset lithograph echoes the irregular forms of his abstract sculptures made from crushed car parts. In this instance, shadow and color are used to convey a sense of interior and exterior space. Resembling a crumpled piece of paper or a rose with intricate petals, this work strikes a balance between the strength of machine-like forms and the delicacy of more fragile materials.
