This post produced a series of documentary videos of sexual and non-sexual encounters between Rodriguez and his father’s former lovers, which he then coupled with 3D photographic sculpture, performance, and photography. This screenprint captures a former cruising space, which were symptomatically abandoned with the advent of the internet in 1993 and concurrent deaths due to the AIDS epidemic. The print’s soft aura and absence of figures conjures not only nostalgia for a once-lively space, but also a sense of profound, generational loss.
