Not on viewA marvel of delicate equilibrium, this small functional sculpture consists of a playful putto, a chubby male child, perched on the back of a slippery dolphin, which in turn balances a shell-form inkwell on the tip of its tail. The putto holds a pointed shell high, seemingly inviting a writer to dip their pen in the ink and wield it. The piece was created to be admired just as much as it was to be used.
