Status
Not on viewThis gilt bronze statuette is one example of several existing versions of this sculpture. However, it is the only one known to rest on a decorative base. The Art Nouveau style pedestal elevates what would have been a decorative tabletop object into a sculptural artwork. The three maidens dancing atop this sculpture hail from Venusberg, the mythical mountain home of Venus.
