Frederick Judd Waugh

BiographyFrederick Waugh, the son of a well-known Philadelphia portrait painter, became a painter typically known for his lanscapes depicting the sea. He studied art in Europe before returning to New Jersey and starting a studio. During WWI, he became one of the United States's ship camofleurs. The University of Chicago has 19 confirmed Waugh paintings.
