BiographyFuturist painter Gino Severini was mesmerized by the dance hall as a subject because of the multisensory experience such a venue provided. Perhaps this was his inspiration for this print, which features three musicians. The figure farthest to the right sways with his guitar, evoking the motion of a musician playing a live show.
